Alex has always enjoyed pushing myself and seeing the results possible from consistent hard, smart training. He played Softball from the age of 6-19, and was a North Harbour age group representative from u15 through to u19, playing in a number of national competitions. He also played rugby during high school, and recreationally played most sports.
Alex began seriously training in the gym at 18, and since then have fallen in love with strength sports. Strength training is a huge passion of mine, and he regularly compete in strongman and powerlifting competitions. His competition calendar is busy this year so he will be competing on average every eight weeks. He is a future u105kg New Zealand’s strongest man, and HE WILL have New Zealand powerlifting records.
- Softball regional age representative (under 15 – under 19)
- North Shores strongest man (under 95kg 2012)
- Competition personal bests of: 187.5kg squat, 127.5kg bench press, 235kg deadlift (83kg weight class)
Alex specialises in strength training and believe in emphasising the big basic lifts to build strength, size, power and speed. He enjoys working with athletes of all types as well as anyone who has goals that they are passionate about achieving.
